Overview of Istanbul Okan University
Characterized by its motto “The University Closest to Business Life”, the university effectively integrates theory and practice through a faculty structure specialized in its fields, and adopts a modern approach to education, focusing on studies that direct students towards practical work from the first year of their studies.
Okan University, one of the modern and dynamic universities in Turkey, was founded in 1999 by the Okan Culture, Education and Sports Foundation and began its academic activity in 2003-2004.
Okan University aims to build a bridge between the academic world and the business world, enabling students to work in companies as part of the business life preparation program, starting from the first year. This program helps students enhance their knowledge, skills and understanding of business life, as certificates of participation and work experience certificates are provided upon successful completion of the preparation programme.

The Akvyat campus features the best contemporary architecture, providing all the necessary modern facilities to ensure you get the most out of the learning process. This includes modernly equipped classrooms, technology and computer laboratories, a library, conference rooms, a fitness center, a swimming pool, gyms, cafeterias, and restaurants.
The campus’s proximity to Sabiha Gokcen Airport and the Formula 1 race track provides additional opportunities for students. The social center, which opened in 2008, also offers additional amenities such as a small cinema, sauna, cafeteria, cocktail hall, shopping center and club rooms for students.

Okan University features two additional campuses, the second campus is located in the Mecidiyekoy area. This campus is distinguished by the presence of the Faculty of Dentistry and the Okan University Dental Hospital, which gives it special importance and enhances the diversity of specialties available.
As for the third campus, it is located in the Kadikoy area, which is one of the prestigious areas in Istanbul. This campus includes vocational schools that add to the diversity of academic programs offered by the university.
